"I would rather reign in Hell than Serve in Heaven" - John Martin
From the inspiring and darkly luminescent statue known as "Le génie du mal", the Genius of Evil, or Spirit of Evil depicts the fallen angel LUCIFER, created in 1848 for display, giving it also the title, the Lucifer of Liège. Belgian sculpture Guillaume Geefs, skillfully elevated the heights of immaculate artistry in this expression of Luciferian Spirit. French art historians call this statue also "ange déchu", the "Fallen Angel".
The fallen angel sits upon a jagged rock, nearly cloaked by Lucifer's membranous bat wings, having a cruelly sharp thumb claw. The Spirit of Evil's body and legs appear still human and angelic in form, his hair reaching nearly the nape of his neck. As the rebel spirit, the Genius of Evil, illustrious Lucifer possesses objects of his former heavenly power, albeit broken. A Scepter and stripped-off Crown are held at the right hip.
The fleece blanket features a lightweight, pill-free microfiber fleece that is not only supremely soft, but warm & cozy.
