The Satanic Magus Sigil originally designed by Anton LaVey and known as his symbol honoring the attainment of “Magister Satanas,” a ceremonial grade and title of "Magus" in traditional Satanism. Michael W Ford adopted this honoring the foundation of Anton LaVey in The Order of Phosphorus and Luciferian traditions centering on Adversarial Magick. This is for Luciferians who attain the immolating and Apotheosis of the state of being or "grade" of Magus of the Adversary.
The Lightning Bolt is symbolic of infernal/divine inspiration, power and the reference to Satan falling like Lightning. "I saw Satan falling like lightning from Heaven" so suggested the Nazarene enemy; this infernal symbol as noted by Michael W Ford is also ideal recalling the "Prince of the Powers of the Air" and the Fulguris Bolt of Zeus as the Lord of the Sky. The "Prince of this World" inspires the forbidden knowledge we term, As Above, So Below.
