2-sided, back features the Star of Venus and the name of Ishtar. The Queen of the Night relief depicts a naked female figure with wings and bird talons, standing atop two lions. She is wearing a headdress, an elaborate necklace and bracelets on both wrists whilst holding a rod and a ring. It is believed that this relief represents Ishtar, goddess of love, sexuality and war.
In Mesopotamian ancient lore, prior to the emergence of the Hebrew Lilith, Ishtar, the goddess of the morning and evening star, Venus, was a beautiful and terrible goddess of both sexual love and war. Ishtar has many forms and energy-aspects. Lilith, or known from the Epic of Gilgamesh as Kisikil-lilla-ke or Lilitu. Kisikllila is the owl-demoness that has its nest in the bottom of the Huluppu Tree. Variants of this name are Lillake and Kilili,
"Ishtar is both the virgin and prostitute; existing divinely in a type of middle-ground where she is not a mother but has not produced offspring, thus remaining ‘virginal’ in ancient Mesopotamian concepts. In this sense, Ištar manifests the Kilili, the owl-demoness, the Lilītu later incarnate as the Hebrew Lilith. The wings of the owl, of which Kilili / Lilith possesses, along with bird talons, balance the fair upper body with the crown with horns, representing divinity." - Michael W. Ford
