A variant in the Sigil of Ahriman as part of the iconography of daēvanąm daēvō, “the daēva of daēvas.” The epithet of daevanam daevo, "the daeva of daevas" reveals in ancient Persian lore that Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman, is the primal mysteries as the creator of darkness. The Younger Avesta texts indicate that Angra Mainyu’s existence on the quantum level, intertwined in matter, finds that the living world is balanced by Ahriman and his creation, the Daevas. Ahriman also exists in the nether world, a world of darkness. According to Vendidad. 19.1 and 44, Angra Mainyu dwells in the north, the region of the daēvas.
