The Chalice or Goblet is sometimes called by Satanists the "Chalice of Ecstasy" and represents the sacred libation to honor the inner divine and holding the elixir or waters of life. Water, Wine, Beer or similar liquids used in ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian or Greco-Roman Magick is utilized as a purifier (if water) and libation of honor (poured out to the gods or demons - see Offering Bowls). The Chalice is used in ritual to honor, intake spell-chanted liquids and celebrate our spiritual and carnal existence.
